Crane’s Mill, a premier continuing retirement community, located in desirable West Caldwell, is currently seeking a Sales Manager.

General Responsibilities


  • Works closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to achieve census goals.
  • Collaborates, plans and helps to execute marketing events.
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned necessary for the efficient operation of the facility and organization.


Essential Duties


  1. Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, which is: Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and in response to God’s love as revealed in the Gospel, the mission of the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is to serve those in New Jersey who hurt, are in need, or have limited choices.
  2. Work with the Director of Marketing in coordinating and managing the daily sales activities in the department that drive revenue for the community.
  3. Has knowledge of competitors services and costs
  4. Handles customer calls & visits in a timely manner.
  5. Provide information & tours to interested parties.
  6. Ability to close sales.
  7. Actively manage short & long term leads to qualify prospects & advance them through the sales process.
  8. Financially qualify perspective residents for IL.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of resident information, interactions, communications,and documentation.
  10. Act as a liaison between Crane’s Mill and community referral sources.
  11. Identify prospects, customers and build a referral network, developing/maintaining relationships to ensure attainment of business goals in growing referral base.
  12. Present the Crane’s Mill product to external referral sources and potential residents, its unique characteristics and its service philosophy

of quality, integrity and delivery of customer needs.

  1. Conduct property and community-based presentations and seminars promoting the image of Crane’s Mill as a leader in healthcare, understanding and meeting the needs of the elderly population.
  2. Actively participate in community organizations to promote the presence of Crane’s Mill and to assist in the development of a viable, active referral base.
  3. Actively participate in all Special Events on and off the Crane’s Mill campus.
  4. Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the LSMNJ Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of duties.
  5. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
  6. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.
  7. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  8. Other duties as assigned by my supervisor, necessary for the efficient operation of the department/facility.


Experience and Skills:


Required:    High School Diploma/GED   

     Preferred:   BS/BA Degree:                     




  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  2. Experience in managing sales database.

   3.  Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

   4.  Able to think & exercise independent judgment when responding to customer

        requests in a timely manner.

   5.  A self-starter, exercise discretion and independent judgment.

               6.  An enthusiastic person with sincerity and compassion for the senior population.

               7.  Professional appearance & proper phone etiquette without fail.

               8. Computer experience, REPS Database a plus.

               9.  Dependable & have flexibility with work hours.

  10.  Strong communication skills (oral & written)

  11.  Excellent interpersonal skills in promotion and maintaining a positive and

         professional working relationship with all individuals both internal & external to the
